West Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting of one and the death of another victim.
On February 5, 2017 around 5:15 p.m., West Los Angeles Area officers responded to the 8700 block of Guthrie Avenue for a shooting investigation. When the officers arrived, they located both victims.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and transported both victims to a local hospital. Victim-1 succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Victim-2 is in stable condition.
Victim-1 is described as a male Hispanics in his early 20s. Victim-2 is described as a 23-year-old male Hispanic. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic.
The motive of this shooting is unknown, but is possibly gang related.
