"Death Investigation Leads To The Arrest Of Victim’s Husband"
 

Los Angeles: On Sunday, February 1, 2004, at around 12:20 p.m., officers from the West Los Angeles Division responded to an "Ambulance Death Investigation" radio call in the 1800 block of Bentley Avenue.
After arriving to the Bentley Avenue residence, officers were met by Amir Naderi, a 55 year-old Iranian man who called "911" when he found his wife in bed, not breathing and unresponsive. Originally the death appeared to have been of natural causes, however, after the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner examined the deceased, it was determined that there were bruises throughout her arms and legs that were inconsistent with a natural death.
After the completion of a crime scene investigation and several interviews with witnesses, it was determined that the victim, Shahrzad Paydar, age 45, may have been murdered or died as a result of her injuries and other complications.
Detectives later arrested Amir Naderi, for the murder of his wife. He was then transported and booked at Van Nuys Jail.
