Detective Accidentally Fires Weapon

Los Angeles: An off duty Los Angeles Police Detective accidentally fired her duty weapon while at home.
On Tuesday, February 4, 2008 at around 11:30 p.m., Detective Corilene Charles, assigned to Audit Division, was dry-firing her weapon and accidentally fired one round. The discharge occurred in her residence and there were no witnesses or injuries.
Audit Division is handling the investigation.
