Northridge: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department, Devonshire Division’s Sexual Assault Investigation Unit announce the arrest of Jesus Tabares’, for Sexual Assault and seek additional victims.
On July 27, 2023, around 6:30 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department Devonshire area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an, “attack suspect there now,” near the 8600 block of Reseda Boulevard. After the police arrived, they took suspect Jesus Tabares into custody without incident.
Officer’s investigation revealed Tabares was working at the location and was providing massage services to the victim. During the incident, Tabares sexually assaulted the victim.
The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office charged Tabares with California Penal Code Sections 287 (f)-Forced Oral Copulation and 289(e) PC-Digital Penetration with a Foreign Object, and he is currently held on $100,000 bail (Booking Number 6648994).
Devonshire Area Sexual Assault investigators are releasing Tabares’ booking photo because they believe Tabares is responsible for additional, unreported sexual assaults and they are asking for anyone that was victimized by this suspect to immediately contact the LAPD. In addition, detectives are seeking the public’s assistance for information regarding this crime.
