Detectives Investigate Double Homicide NR23161mc

Valley Glen: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating a triple shooting which resulted in two people dead.

On June 19, 2023, around 10:00 p.m., three individuals identified as, 44-year-old Arkadi Simonyan, 23-year-old Vahan Simonyan, and 38-year-old Mesrop Malkhasyan, all residents of North Hollywood, became involved in an altercation at the 12900 block of Victory Boulevard. Two of the individuals produced firearms and began shooting at each other.

All three individuals sustained numerous gunshot wounds. Arkadi Simonyan and Mesrop Malkhasyan succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased. Vahan Simonyan was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive. Detectives discovered the motive for the shooting stemmed from an earlier business dispute.

Vahan Simonyan was absentee booked by Operations Valley Bureau Homicide detectives for 187 PC- Murder (Booking No. 6626734). His case will be presented for filing consideration.
