On Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 5:46 a.m., a 2017 Ford Transit Van was traveling westbound on 6th Street when it collided with a pedestrian riding a skateboard westbound on 6th Street, just west of Catalina Street. The impact caused the pedestrian to be thrown onto the north sidewalk of 6th Street. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle failed to stop or render aid, in violation of Vehicle Code Section 20001(a) Felony Hit and Run.
