Detectives Seek Clues In Double Homicide

Los Angeles: On June 13, 2004 at approximately 11:00 a.m., Hollywood Patrol Officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of North Stanley Avenue. The officers had done so in response to a 911 call regarding “Unknown Trouble” at the location. Upon arrival the officers looked inside a window and observed the dead body of a male white in his sixties lying on the floor. The officers forced entry to the location to look for additional people inside the residence to render aid if possible and to look for suspect(s). Once the officers had cleared the location, they exited the location and requested additional units and detectives.

The detectives learned that prior to his death, the victim was on the telephone with a reservation agent from Southwest Airlines. During the conversation the agent heard a commotion between the victim and unknown suspect(s). The agent immediately notified the Los Angeles Police Department’s Communications Division, which caused Hollywood Division Patrol Officers to respond.

During the investigation on Stanley Avenue, a radio call was received to a residence in the 1600 block of North Courtney Avenue, which is directly behind the homicide location on Stanley Avenue. Officers were requested to respond by the Los Angeles Fire Department who had gone to the residence in response to a citizen’s call for help regarding a death. While at the Courtney Avenue residence detectives were led to the dead body of a male white in his nineties.

Based on evidence found at the original crime scene, detectives believe the two murders were linked and committed by the same suspect(s).

The Stanley Avenue murder victim’s car was taken after the murders and was later found by officers in the Hollywood/Wilshire area of Los Angeles. The vehicle is described as a 2001 black Mercedes Benz, E320, 4-door,California license 4VBK176. Detectives are looking for a male white in his forties who seen driving the victim’s car.
