Los Angeles: On Friday December 5, 2003 at about 8:45 p.m., 32 year-old Michael Lester Bell and two other individuals, a 22 year-old male Hispanic and a 25 year-old female Hispanic were crossing the street at the intersection of 82nd Street and Figueroa Street. Unidentified suspect(s) shot at them from their vehicle, a 1990’s black, 2-door Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird Convertible, that was making a right turn off 82nd Street at Figueroa Street. Mr. Bell sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his lower torso, while the 22 year-old male Hispanic sustained a graze wound to his left shoulder and the 25 year-old female sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her left leg. The suspect(s) were last seen driving away at a high rate of speed northbound on Figueroa Street. Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victims to a local Hospital, where Mr. Bell died from his wounds. The other two victims were treated and released.
The motive for the shooting and the suspect(s) identity are unknown at this time.
