Los Angeles: On Saturday, November 15, 2003, at about 5:55 a.m., Foothill Area Officers responded to an "Assault with a Deadly Weapon Shots Fired" radio call in the 14000 block of Hubbard Street. When the officers arrived, they observed the victim, 35 year-old Clifford Ramirez, a resident of Sylmar, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper torso.
Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he’s listed in critical condition.
The investigation revealed that Ramirez was riding a bicycle on his way to work, when unknown suspects in a white pick up truck confronted him. The occupants in the vehicle then fired multiple shots, striking Ramirez. The motive for the shooting is unknown and the weapon and the suspects are not in custody.
