Update

Update: The Los Angeles Police Department, Central Traffic detectives, have arrested a Felony Evading suspect and need assistance in identifying an accomplice.

Detectives were able to identify 19-year-old Izeal Rachal, of Los Angeles, as the driver who eluded officers by conducting evasive maneuvers to evade a traffic violation. Detectives were assisted by one of the passengers who live streamed Rachal’s dangerous driving on the city streets.

On July 25, 2022, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office issued a $75,000 arrest warrant for Rachal for 2800.2 Felony Evading, of the California Vehicle Code.

On August 11, 2022, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lakewood Station patrol arrested Rachal on the warrant when he was stopped in his vehicle in the City of Bellflower. Rachal was booked at Lakewood Sheriff Station Jail, Booking No. 6436554, and bonded out after posting $75,000 bail.

The unknown passenger that assisted Rachal in evading the police by giving him instructions on how to evade the police is considered an accomplice and is wanted for felony evading. The 9-minute video is posted on Central Traffic Division’s YouTube account, “LAPD Central Traffic,”. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic detectives are asking for assistance for the public’s assistance in identifying the passenger.

 

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify a felony evading driver.

On May 29, 2022, around 9:25 p.m., the driver of a vehicle failed to yield to officers when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the driver for moving violations in the area of Florence Avenue and Vermont Avenue. The driver conducted evasive maneuvers in order to elude the officers. The driver drove in an unsafe speed, drove on the opposite side of the road, turned off the vehicle’s headlights, and almost collided with other vehicles as he eluded the officers. A pursuit was not initiated.

The driver is described as a male Black, standing 6 feet tall to 6 feet and 2 inches, and weighing about 270 to 300 pounds. He appeared to be 25 to 30 years old and had long black dreadlocked hair.

The vehicle is described as a 2018-2021 charcoal gray 4-door Dodge Charger. It had aftermarket black rims, a hood scoop, an “SRT” emblem on the grill, and a white decal letter “A” on the bottom corner of the windshield. A license plate was not obtained due to the rear plate being covered over with a towel.
