On August 25, 2024, at 11:13 a.m., a 32-year-old woman reported that she was sexually assaulted while shopping inside a grocery store located in the 2600 block of South Vermont Avenue. The suspect appeared to follow the victim throughout the store, walked up behind her, and inappropriately grabbed her from behind. The suspect then exited the store, punched an elderly lady in the chest, and left the location in an acquaintance’s vehicle.
The vehicle was a 2-door white sedan, with a black hood, and spoiler on the trunk.
The suspect is described a male Hispanic, black hair, 5 feet 11 inches, weighing 230 pounds, about 30-years-old. He was wearing thick glasses, burgundy windbreaker with “Wake & Bake” logo on back.
Detectives are releasing the suspect’s photos to identify him and because they believe there may be additional victims of unreported sexual assaults due to his behavior.
“The residents of Los Angeles, our friends and family members, should be free from this behavior,” said Detective Robert Smey, a Southwest Division Sexual Assault Investigator, “I encourage anyone with information about the suspect’s identification to come forward.”
