Wilmington: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Area homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting deaths of a 16-year-old female and 24-year-old Alex Gutierrez.
On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, around 3:11 p.m., Harbor Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an ADW shooting on the 800 block of N. Bayview Avenue in Wilmington. Upon their arrival, the officers located the 16-year-old female victim unresponsive and not breathing. They also located Gutierrez with multiple gunshot wounds. Two additional female victims were located.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the location and pronounced the 16-year-old female dead at scene. Gutierrez was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The two additional females suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The suspect(s) fled on foot and no description was provided.
