Koreatown: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating a double shooting in Koreatown that left one man dead.
On Sunday, May 28, 2017, around 8:15 p.m., Olympic Area officers were in the area of 4th Street and Vermont Avenue when they heard shots fired.
Officers found an adult male Hispanic, suffering from a gunshot wound, in the 400 block of Vermont Avenue.
The Los Angeles Fires Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The suspect vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene. A second victim, an adult male Hispanic, was also located near the scene. The second victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic wearing a black t-shirt and dark pants. The suspect fled in a newer model white sedan, southbound on Vermont Avenue. This shooting is possibly gang related.
