Drive-By Shooting Claims Life

 
Los Angeles: On Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at approximately 9:30 a.m., the victim, 20-year old Rodnell Tripplet, was standing on the sidewalk in front of 539 West 77th Street. Two male Black suspects in a beige color newer model small compact car drove by and fired several rounds. The victim received gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, the victim died at the hospital due to his injuries a short time later.
The motive is unknown, but appears gang related.
The suspects and weapon remain outstanding.
