Los Angeles: A driver was killed early Saturday morning when his vehicle crossed the center median and crashed head-on into an oncoming car.
On July 16, 2011 at around 12:05 a.m., a 28-year-old old resident of Los Angeles was driving a 1987 Honda Civic northbound on Sepulveda Boulevard when he suddenly crossed over the center median into oncoming traffic. The car collided head-on into a 2001 Porsche Carrera being driven by a 61-year-old male driver from Encino who was travelling southbound on Sepulveda Boulevard, north of Valley Meadow Road. Neither car carried any passengers.
The driver of the Honda Civic was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel where he died a short time later. His name is being withheld until his family can be notified.
The Porsche driver was treated for minor injuries.
