FASTRAC Training Seminar

The Los Angeles Police Department will be conducting a 21st Century Crime Control seminar designed to acquaint police executives and supervisory personnel with the Los Angeles Police Department’s command accountability model: FASTRAC (Focus, Accountability, Strategy, Teamwork, Response and Coordination). The FASTRAC process is patterned after the New York Police Department’s (NYPD) COMPSTAT program.

It is anticipated that over 300 management level personnel from numerous law enforcement agencies in the western United States from Seattle to New Mexico will attend.

The Los Angeles Police Chief Bernard C. Parks and Mayor Richard J. Riordan will give the opening remarks. Mr. Jack Maple, the former NYPD Chief of Operations and the originator of the COMPSTAT program will be the keynote speaker.

This event will be covered by the local and national media and represents the formal introduction of the Los Angeles Police Department’s FASTRAC model to the West Coast law enforcement leadership.

This seminar is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, 1998 at the Omni Hotel and Centre, 930 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles.

Additionally, the Los Angeles Police Pipe Band, the official pipe band for the City of Los Angeles will kick-off the seminar.
