DETAILS:
On August 16, 2024, around 10:00 p.m., a white sedan traveling southbound on Central Avenue near 88th Street struck and killed 43-year-old Latesha Washington as she crossed the street. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim, violating the law. Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. LAPD South Traffic Division detectives are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect’s vehicle.

Additionally, there will be a discussion about the recent street takeovers in South Los Angeles over Labor Day weekend, which caused disruptions at major intersections.
