On January 28, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Detectives arrested the driver of the second vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision. The suspect, identified as Ryan Antonio Gomez Cifuentes, a 33-year-old male from North Hollywood, turned himself in at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Station, located near 7800 Nollan Place.
Cifuentes was arrested and booked under California Vehicle Code Section 20001(a) – Felony Hit and Run (Booking Number 6958967). The 2003 Toyota 4Runner driven by Cifuentes is in police custody. The other driver and vehicle involved remains outstanding.
North Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver(s) involved in a hit-and-run collision that struck and killed an unidentified female.
On January 24, 2025 around 9:35 p.m., a 26-year-old, Hispanic female pedestrian was walking across the roadway on Victory Boulevard just east of Troost Avenue. As the pedestrian was crossing the street, she was struck by a vehicle (described as a sedan) traveling westbound on Victory Boulevard. This initial collision caused the pedestrian to fall to the roadway. As the pedestrian was on her hands and knees in the roadway, she was struck and killed by an additional vehicle. This second vehicle is described as a light blue or grey 2003 Toyota 4 Runner.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead at scene. Her name is being withheld pending identification and notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
VTD detectives are urging the public to come forward with information regarding this fatal hit and run. There was a lot of traffic in the area of Victory Boulevard and Troost Avenue at the time of the collision. If you witnessed the collision, please contact VTD Detectives.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
