Los Angeles – On Friday, February 9, 2000, at approximately 5:30 p.m., an unidentified driver in a 1983 Chevy Van, traveling westbound on Avenue 26, was making a left turn to Daly Street. The driver subsequently lost control of his vehicle before it ran off the roadway and collided with three pedestrians who were sitting at a bus bench, waiting for their bus. Jacinta Dominguez, 61 years old of Los Angeles, was pronounced dead at the scene. Hue Su, 51 years old of Los Angeles and Iris Xie, 10 years old of Los Angeles, were both taken to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center. Suffered a fracture to her right femur and Xie complained of pain to her lower back. The van was abandoned at the scene and the driver left the location failing in any way to comply with section 20001(A) VC, Hit and Run.

Subsequent investigation has revealed the identity of a possible suspect in the above-described incident. Wanted for questioning is 43-year-old Rodalio Galvan Ibarra who resides in the City of Bell.
Further details and an opportunity to speak with parties familiar with the investigation will be provided at today’s press conference. A photo of the suspect will also be available to the media.
