North Hollywood: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspect(s).
On October 23, 2021, around 3:30 a.m., LAPD North Hollywood Division officers responded to a radio call of a “Man Down” on the 6200 block of Whitsett Avenue. A male was discovered inside the driver’s seat of the vehicle, unresponsive.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded, and it was discovered that the male had sustained a single gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at scene.
The victim has been identified as a 25-year-old, Ramiro Apitaga of Pacoima.
