Fatal Traffic Collision

On Tuesday, July 20, 1999 at approximately 2:45 p.m., the victim, Rose Caplin, 83 years of age, was a passenger in a white Cadillac 4 door sedan westbound on Tennessee Avenue near Beverly Glen Boulevard. A Ford Explorer being driven by Julia Jones was traveling southbound on Beverly Glenn Boulevard and collided with the Cadillac.

The victim sustained injuries and was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance 43 to UCLA Medical Center. The victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
