Los Angeles: On Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 8:15 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at Robertson Boulevard just north of Airdrome Street. Jelani Frederick Bronson, a 29-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was driving a 2006 Dodge Charger southbound on Robertson Boulevard when he struck pedestrian Rosalba Garcia, a 20-year-old resident of Los Angeles, who was running eastbound on Robertson Boulevard.
Garcia suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
An investigation is on-going; however, alcohol, drugs, and mechanical failure does not appear to be factors in the cause of this incident.
