Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division are investigating a fatal hit and run traffic collision that resulted in one pedestrian being injured and another dead.
On February 24, 2020, around 12:50 a.m., a 71-year-old male and his 58-year-old female companion were walking northbound on Sunset Boulevard east of White Knoll Drive. Prior to reaching the north curb of Sunset Boulevard, they were struck by a dark color passenger vehicle and were dragged approximately 50-feet before being dislodged. The driver fled the scene without rendering aid or identifying him or herself as required by law.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the pedestrians to a local hospital with severe injuries. The female companion past away due to her injuries.
