Opens https://lacity.gov/directory in a new window.Reseda: On Thursday, November 22, 2018, around 10:50 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a radio call of a medical emergency in the 7500 block of Enfield Avenue in Reseda. Upon their arrival, and initial assessment, they requested Los Angeles Police Department response for a “suspicious death.”
West Valley Area patrol officers arrived at scene, and Valley Bureau Homicide detectives arrived soon thereafter. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, a 30-year-old female Hispanic, had sustained blunt force injuries causing her death. Her boyfriend, and the father of her eight-year-old child, was interviewed and confessed to causing the victim’s death. The victim and suspect have a history of domestic violence.
The suspect, Ricardo Sauz, was booked for 187 (a) (1) PC, Murder. He will be arraigned Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in Van Nuys. The victim’s name is being withheld, pending notification to next of kin.
