To celebrate the life, legacy and vision of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. by commemorating a transformative partnership between the LAPD and the African American community throughout the entire City of Los Angeles.
The LAPD has made a commitment to building trust and respect between its officers and the communities in which they serve. The pledge of the Department is to partner with the community to reduce the fear and incidence of crime and to help guide the youth of Los Angeles toward a successful path.
