Tuesday, November 9, 1999
On November 7, 1999 shortly after Midnight, Jose Diaz, Jr. was leaving a party in the 1100 block of Pappeet. The victim was in a van when several shots were fired in his direction. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Harbor City. On November 7, 1999 at 10:10 A.M., the victim succumbed to his injury.

The motive for the crime is unknown. The suspect(s) is outstanding and it appears that the shooting may be gang related

Harbor Area Homicide detectives are handling investigation.
