High School Student Dies in Collision with Bus

 
Los Angeles: Late Saturday night, March 5, 2005, four girls from Diamond Bar High School were injured after their 2004 Toyota Corolla struck an MTA bus after the Corolla ran a red light at Venice Boulevard and Grand Avenue, just south of downtown. One passenger in the Toyota died of head injuries at a local hospital.
The collision occurred at 11:30 PM when the Toyota, heading westbound on Venice Boulevard, failed to stop for the red light and hit an MTA bus, which was heading southbound on Grand Avenue . The Toyota’s driver sustained chest injuries from the impact and was in stable condition at a local hospital. The bus driver was treated and released at a local hospital. The two other passengers in the Toyota were injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
