Los Angeles: On July 7, 2003, at 8:30 p.m., the victim, 49 year-old William Bradford, was crossing the street at Central Avenue just south of 84th Street when he was struck by a van that was traveling southbound on Central Avenue. Witnesses at the scene stated the van kept going and did not bother to stop and render aid to Bradford.
Bradford was transported to Martin Luther King Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Photographs and video of the hit and run vehicle that was captured by surveillance cameras will be displayed for the media at the press conference. A detective assigned to the homicide will be present to provide background information both in English and in Spanish.
