Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run traffic collision that killed a pedestrian.
On July 29, 2018, around 2 a.m., a hit and run collision occurred on Imperial Highway just west of Success Avenue, when a driver of a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian.
The victim has been identified as 60-year-old, Ms. Sabrina Williams, Los Angeles resident. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and identify himself or render aid to Ms. Williams.
The vehicle is described as a newer model (2015) Black Toyota Rav 4 SUV.
On April15, 2015 the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
