Los Angeles: A 50-year-old man was found stabbed on the sidewalk late Saturday night on July 18, 2009, in the Hollywood Area.
At around 10:50 p.m., a patrol unit was dispatched to a possible dead body in the 6100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. Officers found the victim unconscious and suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital where he died shortly after arriving.
According to detectives, a passerby saw the victim lying on the ground and called police. There were no suspects seen and no witnesses have come forward. At this time, the motive is unknown and detectives believe the stabbing was not gang related.
The victim is described as male White, transient, approximately 50-years-old. The identity of the victim will be released upon positive identification by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
