Homicide in Harbor Division NR16346

San Pedro: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Harbor Division homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the murder suspect of 47-year old Pierre Migara Balasuriya.

On Saturday, November 5, 2016, around 7:05 a.m., the suspect and Mr.Balasuriya were at the 300 block of West 9th Street. Mr. Balasuriya and the suspect were involved in an argument when the suspect produced a handgun and fired shots striking Mr. Balasuriya. The suspect then fled the location.

Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the Mr. Balasuriya to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
