Mid-City: On June 23, 2021, at around 12:40 p.m., Officers assigned to LAPD Wilshire Area responded to the area of Wilshire Boulevard and Ridgely Drive for a radio call of a shooting that just occurred.
Upon arrival, the officers located a male in his forties that had been shot. The Los Angeles Fire
Department was requested and responded. The Los Angeles Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect fled from the location prior to police arrival. Both the victim and the suspect are homeless, and it is believed that they did not know each other. The two had been involved in a verbal dispute prior to the shooting.
Just after 7:00 p.m., Officers assigned to Wilshire Area were conducting visible patrol in the area of the homicide, and they observed the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered.
The suspect has been identified as Eva Fekete, 60 years old, currently living in Los Angeles. She is being held on $2,000,000.00 bail (Booking No. 6202699). The suspect was booked for 187 PC and the case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
At this time the victim’s identity has not been confirmed.
