On August 5, 2021 around 3:35 p.m., Anthony Duwayne Turner was arrested near the 8800 block of Airlane Avenue for 187(a)PC-Murder. His booking number is 6226557 and the bail is set at $2,000,000.00.

Reseda: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for the murder of 48-year-old Michelle Avan.

On August 5, 2021 around 7:00 a.m., West Valley Patrol officers responded to a death investigation near the 19300 block of Covello Street. Family members became concerned when they could not contact Avan. A family member made the discovery and notified police and paramedics.

Upon arrival, Officers located a female inside the residence, unresponsive. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were summoned and pronounced death.

Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives responded, and an investigation is underway. The exact cause of death is unknown; however, the victim appeared to have suffered trauma to her face.
