Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a homicide suspect.
On Sunday, July 4, 2021, around 12:00 a.m., a 53-year-old South Los Angeles woman, Fatima Johnson, was discovered deceased inside her apartment at the 7600 block of South Western Avenue. Johnson’s daughters came to the location due to not seeing or hearing from her for several days. They obtained a key from a family relative to enter the apartment when they discovered their mother’s remains.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Johnson deceased at the scene.
The suspect is outstanding, and the motive is unknown. The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been identified.
