Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s (LAPD) Operations West Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for killing a man.
On Thursday February 23, 2023 at around 7 p.m., LAPD officers assigned to Olympic Area responded to the area of Vermont Avenue and 6th Street after several radio calls of a shooting.
Officers arrived and observed a male in his 60’s down on the ground in a parking lot. The male had been shot.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene. His name is being withheld pending notification to family members.
The suspect is described as a male black and fled the location on foot.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
