WHAT: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations-South Bureau will conduct a news conference to address the recent uptick in the use of paintball guns to commit crimes.

WHEN: Friday, August 18, 2017 10:45 a.m.

WHERE: 77th Street Community Police Station 7600 South Broadway Los Angeles, CA (Community Room)

WHO: Captain Lee Sands, Southwest Area Commanding Officer Southwest Detective Personnel

WHY: To promote community awareness on the dangers of the illegal use of paintball guns. Media will be able to film and photograph a static display of paintball guns and will be able to speak with victims of crimes that involved paintball guns
