Mission Hills: Detectives from
the Los Angeles Police Department’s Mission Division, Sex
Crimes Unit are seeking additional victims of sexual abuse of a
child by Ruben Alonso Herrera
who was arrested on March 22, 2017.
Herrera
met the victim in his capacity as a contracted social worker.
Herrera took advantage of his position to gain the trust of his
victim and then engage in sexual intercourse with the victim.
26-year- old Ruben Alonso Herrera was booked for 261.5(D) PC –
Unlawful Sex with a Minor. He is currently in custody and being
held on $25,000.00 bail.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims of other
unreported incidents and are asking for the public’s assistance in
locating them.
