Los Angeles: LAPD Devonshire Area detectives are seeking information on possible victims who may have been sexually assaulted by a janitor at Germain Elementary School.
On February 5, 2012, around 3 p.m., the mother of a student at Germain Elementary School went to the Devonshire Area police station and reported an inappropriate contact between a janitor employed at the school and her child. The Devonshire Detective Sexual Assault Unit responded to the station and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
With the assistance of Los Angeles School Police Department, the suspect, Paul Adame, was identified, and arrested for 288(a) P.C. (Lewd Act with a Child). Due to the nature of this ongoing investigation and the need to protect the identity of the victim, no information is being released regarding the criminal behavior, or the name, age or gender of the child.
Devonshire Area detectives are requesting parents of students at Germain Elementary to speak with their children regarding Adame to determine if they were subjected to any inappropriate behavior. If any child has witnessed an inappropriate contact with Adame, the parents should immediately contact the Devonshire Sexual Assault Unit at 818-832-0609.
