WHO: LAPD Baseball Players Alexis Barajas, pledge contest winner
WHY: Every month the LAPD baseball team selects a child that has completed the “Just Say No” pledge with their parent or guardian at www.lapdbaseballteam.com. The contest also requires participants to write a short essay and then recite the pledge to the LAPD baseball team. Officers will present this month’s winner, Alexis Barajas, new baseball gear including a new helmet, glove, and baseball bat in front of his entire class of 27 students, who have also taken the pledge and written essays.
