First Amendment March and Rally for Keeping Immigrant Families
Together
WHEN:

WHERE:
Central Bureau/Downtown Los Angeles
Event begins at 1st Street and Broadway, the march will head east
on 1st Street then north on Alameda Street, ending at the Federal
Building located at 535 North Alameda Street
WHO:
The incident Commander for the Department will be Captain III Jeff
Nolte, Commanding Officer, Rampart Division
WHY:
To identify Media Staging Areas, Media Viewing Areas, and to
identify street closures as defined by the City of Los Angeles
Department of Transportation. PLEASE VISIT THE LADOT WEBSITE for
street closures.
Media Staging/Viewing
Area:
At the beginning of the March/Rally, media is encouraged to park on
Hill Street. Media staging/viewing area at the beginning of the
March/Rally will be southwest corner of Broadway and 1st
Street.
At the end of the March/Rally, media is encouraged to park on
Commercial Street east of Alameda Street.
Media staging/viewing area at the end of the march/rally will be
the southwest corner of Commercial Street and Alameda Street.
No media will be allowed to park along the route.
A Public Information Officer will be available at the start and end
of the march/rally to monitor the media throughout the event.
