Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division detectives is seeking
information from the public that might lead to the arrest of the
suspect responsible for the attempted kidnapping of a 14-year-old
child near Pickford Avenue and Sherbourne Street.
On March 1, 2017, at 4:40 p.m., the victim was walking home from
school when the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her
backpack. The victim fought the suspect and managed to escape. The
victim returned home safely and her parents contacted the
police.
The suspect has been described as a Caucasian
male, with grey hair, 5’9″ tall, 150 pounds, and approximately 50
years old.
