DETAILS:
The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 33 police officers, with 27 males and 6 females. Two additional graduates will serve as officers with other agencies: Los Angeles World Airports and the University of Southern California Department of Public Safety. The ethnic breakdown of the graduates who will be LAPD officers is as follows: 7 Caucasians, 19 Hispanics, five Asians (non-Korean), one Filipino and one African American. Graduating officers have completed 920 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.
