WHY:
The Los Angeles Police Department will graduate 41 police officers, with 29 males and 12 females. The ethnic breakdown of the graduates is as follows: 16 Caucasians, 19 Hispanics, four African Americans and two Filipinos. Graduating officers have completed 920 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks. Two of the graduates will report to Los Angeles World Airports.
