What:
LAPD addresses bullying rise in schools by putting on the 44th elementary school “Just Say No!” School Rally which also addresses drugs, gangs, and crime!

When:
Friday, October 22, 2021 10:00am – 11:40am (Set-up 8:30am)

Where:
Pacoima Charter Elementary School 11016 Norris Avenue; Pacoima, CA 91331

Who:
LAPD Foothill CSP Police Officers, all 840 students, teachers and staff at Pacoima Charter Elementary School.

Why:
Due to the recent rise in school bullying incidents, and the continuous drug, gang, and crime problems in schools. Covid-19 has kept students away from engaging and talking about the issues that have affected them during the pandemic. Pacoima Charter Elementary assistant Principal Augustine Mena requested this unique “Just Say No!” Drugs-Gangs-Crime-Bullying program for his 840 students!

 *Discussion and demonstrations by law enforcement officers with students about the importance of saying no to drugs, gangs, crime, and bullying.

School Rally includes;

  • Real testimonials from law enforcement officers and special guests regarding the negative incidents of drugs, gangs, crime, and especially bullying.
  • Reciting of the “Just Say No!” Drugs-Gangs-Crime-Bullying Pledge w/ students.
  • Hula hoop, dance, and contests for boys, girls, and teachers for big prizes.
  • Prize drawings for students throughout the rally.
  • Public safety/Anti- drugs, gangs, crime, bullying displays, and visit from local law enforcement officers.
  •  request for a Police helicopter fly-over.
  • DJ and two MCs w/ rap performance are talented LAPD police officers.
