Opens https://lacity.gov/directory in a new window.Los Angeles: On November 21, 2024, the Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF) and the Street Racing Task Force (SRTF) served search warrants in the 6000 block of York Boulevard in Highland Park and the 1700 block of West 56th Street in South Los Angeles.
The focus of the investigation was to locate two individuals who had been identified as suspects in the AutoZone flash burglary and street takeover that happened on June 10, 2024. On June 10, 2024, around 3:50 a.m., hundreds of individuals participated in a street takeover. They arrived at Century Boulevard and Hoover Street, illegally blocked the flow of traffic, and performed illegal and dangerous stunts (donuts and burnouts). Simultaneously, the AutoZone, located on the 600 block of West Century Boulevard was burglarized by approximately 50-75 of the street takeover participants. The estimated loss of property was approximately $67,000.
Adrian Vivero (18-year-old Male Hispanic from Los Angeles) was arrested for 459 PC – Burglary at his residence. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of an unregistered firearm, over $10,500 of US Currency, and various narcotics possessed for sales.
Trevon Lexion (39-year-old Male Black from Los Angeles) was arrested for 459 PC – Burglary in Hemet, CA. A search of his residence resulted in the seizure of evidence related to the burglary.
The ORCTF and SRTF will continue to conduct operations throughout the Los Angeles region with the goal of identifying, disrupting, and arresting retail thieves, fences, and illegal street takeovers.
