WHY:
The LAPD Metropolitan Division K9 Platoon is comprised of 18 patrol dogs and five firearm detection dogs. They, along with their human handlers, provide critical capabilities that enable officers to provide better service to the community, while enhancing the safety of citizens and officers alike.
Demonstrations will include firearm detection, protection work, search training, and obedience & control exercises. Come meet the dogs for a photo op and enjoy some refreshments. We look forward to seeing you!
