WHY: To increase public safety awareness in the community during 4th of July weekend.
DETAILS: The LAPD Mission Area C-PAB QOL Committee is partnering with the Mission Hills Community Action Group to join together with community members and special guests, to provide a goodwill campaign, with an emphasis on encouraging respect and consideration for neighbors, as well as promoting an awareness and better understanding of the hazards of fireworks and the negative impact they can have on the community.
There will be raffle drawings for Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Bear Pit, Empire Hardware, a personal tour of Mission Area and a Ride-Along with SLO Ruiz, as well as music by Bobby Arias, hot dogs and more. The event finishes with a coordinated “Kut the Kaboom” Campaign Outreach for community members to represent their neighborhoods. All are welcomed to attend this event.
