DETAILS: The Los Angeles Police Academy will graduate 38 officers. Out of the 38 graduates, 36 will be sworn for the LAPD, one will be sworn for Los Angeles Port Police and one will be a University of Southern California public safety officer. Of the 36 LAPD officers, there are 32 males and six females with the following ethnic breakdown: 12 Caucasians, 19 Hispanics, four Asians and three African-American. Graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.
