DETAILS: The Los Angeles Police Academy will graduate 38 officers. Out of the 38 graduates, 34 will be sworn for the LAPD, one will be sworn for Los Angeles World Airport Police and three will be for the Recreation and Parks Police Department. Of the 34 LAPD officers, there are 22 males and 12 females with the following ethnic breakdown: 11 Caucasians, 19 Hispanics, 2 Asians and 2 African-American. Graduating officers have completed 912 hours of training over the course of 24 weeks.
