LAPD Topanga Division Arrests Five in Retail Theft Blitz Operation NR24337dc

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division Burglary detectives announce the arrest of multiple theft suspects during a series of blitz operations aimed at stopping retail theft.

In response to rising incidents of theft affecting local retail establishments in and around the Westfield Topanga Mall area, LAPD Topanga area officers conducted a series of blitz operations on impacted retailers. A blitz operation is when law enforcement proactively saturates an area with personnel and resources to address a specific issue and enhance community safety.

On December 17, 2024, a total of three blitz operations were conducted. One retailer operating inside the Westfield Topanga Mall in the 6600 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, one retailer in the 21400 block of Victory Boulevard, and one retailer operating in the Fallbrook Mall in the 6600 block of Fallbrook Avenue.

Under the Los Angeles County Misdemeanor Bail Schedule, several of the suspects were eligible to be cited and released, others had pending warrants.
